Millway Construction

Concrete construction

Curbs, sidewalks, pads and loading areas formed, poured and finished to spec. We match existing grades and drainage so new concrete ties in cleanly with the asphalt and landscaping around it.

Every job is scoped on site and priced in writing. Here's what this service covers.

Sidewalks & walkways

New walks and panel replacement, with control joints, proper slopes and broom finish for grip.

Pads & slabs

Loading areas

Heavy-duty truck aprons and loading dock pads built to stand up to repeated wheel loads.

Ramps & curb cuts

Barrier-free ramps and depressed curbs with tactile plates where required.

Concrete repairs

Removal and replacement of cracked, heaved or settled panels and trip hazards.

Footings & bollards

Bollard footings, sign bases, light pole bases and small structural footings.

How we handle it

Done right the first time

  • Grades and drainage checked before forming, so water runs away from buildings and walkways
  • Exterior mixes suited to Ontario freeze-thaw and de-icing salt
  • Proper joints, reinforcement where specified, and curing protection
  • Coordinated with paving so curbs and asphalt tie in at the right elevations

Questions

Common questions

Don't see your question? Call 647-448-4451 and ask.

How long before we can walk or drive on new concrete?

Foot traffic is usually fine after a day or two. Vehicle traffic needs longer, typically about a week depending on the mix and weather. We'll mark and barricade the area and give you a clear reopening date.

Can you pour concrete in cold weather?

Yes, within limits. Late-season pours need heated materials, blankets and closer monitoring. We'll tell you up front if timing or weather adds cost or risk.

Do you replace single sidewalk panels?

Yes. Individual panel replacement is a common fix for trip hazards and is often much cheaper than replacing a whole walk.
